Mary McNamara is a mother of six children who has over 40 years of experience
in the health care business. Originally trained as a nurse in Dublin, Mary spent
many years working in hospitals in Dublin, Clare and the USA, ending up as a
matron in Carrigoran nursing home in New Market. While working there she
realised the benefits of acupuncture when she used it to cure chronic arthritis
that she had been suffering from since her early 20’s. She trained in Acupuncture
and Traditional Chinese Medicine Dublin under Prof. Tom Shanahan, having
previously studied child psychology. Since then she has also studied kinesiology.
